Peter Crouch has revealed his car was stolen by a thief – who then had sex on the back seat.

The former Liverpool and England striker recalled the epic tale on his BBC podcast after a listener called up to the show.

The listener, called Jay, told how he was working at a car pound in south London when the car was dumped.

And it happened to belong to Crouch, who is now at Stoke, and he couldn’t quite believe what his beloved car had been through.

“Someone had actually stolen it and just gone ona date, so he had his own music on,” Crouch said.

“He had put his own CD in, some banging music. It was so loud.

“His missus’ fur coat was hanging in the back!

“It was crazy – he, like, stole it for a day, took a girl out and then just drove it to the pound.”

Crouch’s co-stars on the podcast Chris Stark and Tom Fordyce could not believe what they were hearing, hailing the story as “incredible”.

The player did not reveal when the incident occurred or what type of car was stolen.

Crouch launched his new podcast last month.
