England’s Champions League quartet discovered their quarter-final fate on Friday – and Manchester united fans are feeling a little hard done by.

The draw took place in Nyon and saw the Red Devils matched with Barcelona, who have won the competition a whopping four times in the past 13 years.

The Catalan club also have Lionel Messi, who destroyed the Red Devils in the 2011 final, and will be looking to do the same eight years on.

Red Devils supporters are understandably apprehensive about the tie, which will be extremely difficult for the reasons just listed.

But they’re also a little frustrated to see their rivals Liverpool and Manchester City, who drew Porto and Tottenham respectively, apparently getting easier runs to the final.

On Twitter, one United fan wrote: “City and Liverpool get easy draws and United get Barcelona. Imagine my surprise…”

While another added: “Everything that could go wrong in this draw from a United fan’s perspective has gone wrong.

“United get Barcelona . Easy win for them in my opinion. Liverpool get Porto. Another dead tie. City get Spurs, easy for them too.”

And a third concluded: “Solksjaer must be wondering what he has to do to get an easy cup draw. Meanwhile City in both comps, and Liverpool in the CL, continue to get byes.”
